Attention to all 4th through 8th graders, we have the The Rebecca Caudill Young Readers Book Award results. All votes casts were counted here at school and then sent on to the state committee. Here at school 1st place was The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan, 2nd place was LIfe As We Knew It by Susan Pfeffer and 3rd place was The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick, also the 2008 Caldecott Award winner. At the state level, this year's Caudill winner is The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan.
The library has all four books in the series if you would like to keep reading about Percy Jackson's adventures. And, if you like Rick Riordan the library also has all three 39 Clues books. Rick Riordan wrote the first installment called The Maze of Bones.
The library has loads of new books in now so come by to get some for over spring break. Graphic novel fans should ask how to search the catalog to see everything they carry in that popular category.
